RIP

Today I had some very sad news.

My ex, the father of my eldest son, got in touch to tell me his partner had given birth, full term, to a stillborn girl.

The cord had strangled her in the womb. My son, Liam is understandably upset, he so wanted a sister.

This post is dedicated to Macy. May she rest in peace.

Thanks for all the lovely comments yesterday, it's good to be back.

Until tomorrow,

Goodbye

  2. Hello Lucy:
This is so utterly awful. What an appalling thing to happen, we cannot begin to imagine the feelings of the bereaved parents. You are all held close in our thoughts and prayers.

  5. Dreadful thought

Good friend of mine lost her 21 year old son just to weeks ago - epileptic fit, found dead in the bathroom. It's beyond me to imagine the grief. Just nothing you can say.

What's that saying ' this too will pass' - seems appropriate somehow.

  12. How very sad. It's a reminder that each child born safe and sound is a miracle. There are so many things that can happen during pregnancy and in childbirth.

  16. On May 1st, 2012, my duaghter gave birth, full term (39 weeks and 2 days) to my grandson Kobe, he died during child birth and came out with the cord very tightly around his neck, 21.5 inchs long, 7 lbs, 9 ozs. and so beautiful.. the autopsy and all tests concluded loss of blood supply due to cord accident.. This is by far the most tragic, unfair, cruel feeling ever, and I'm just grandma, my duaghter and the daddy are struggling so to move forward, but are so devasted and lost... My condolences to you and your family/ extended family, it is truely tragic. God Bless, and I will keep you in my prayers.
